Niki's diet need a change!
A package arrived late last week and Niki was busy sniffing them.
We were wondering why, and finally knew the answer when the package was torn open.

I was busying trying to take a clear picture of it when Niki start pawing on it and demand his dinner! Alrights..... I quickly took a snap, and tore the package open.

It's relatively big in size, (this is for adult) and it doesn't smell as bad as Royal Canin. And Niki was still busy sniffing when I pour them into his bowl. He IS a picky eater. And we were all surprised that he went to his bowl and picked a piece.

I thought I can make a change. But NO!!
He spat that out immediately in split seconds. =.="

That shows how terrible Eukanuba was.
And the following few days when I was reading about Kibbles, there was a report saying Eukanuba 'abuses' dogs by using them to do their testing of ingredients and sort, and many ppl were on the poll to object. Hmm... I guess Eukanuba will never be in Niki's menu ever again.

Tennya was suggesting some good kibbles brand along with the other fur-friends. So I went into more research and finally came to a conclusion for the folloing brands that Niki probably could handle;

Frankly speaking, I really don't know what kind of ingredients are deemed "Good" for the furkids. Perosnally, I feel that as long as they are eating well and there are no tell tale signs of illness or sickness, it should be fine. Like what i've mentioned before, how can fresh food be compared to kibbles where all the abstraction and preservaties were added to make it last longer?

hmm.. something to think about.

The reason why I am deciding to change a brand for Niki is that he gets bored with the kibble he is currently eating easily. He is on Royal Canin, a brand which he loves so much in the beginning. But now whenever I feed him that, he will giv it a sniff and walk away sadly. So, rotating a few kibbles within a few days might be a good choice, on top of that, he might get a variety of nutrients from different brands and source. Well... I'll try it out since some of the fur-friends does that!

I might consider it to be the main ingredients for his Kibbles.
It's good for we the humans, why not them? *wink*

both of us groomed him for almost 2hrs!
I bathed him after that. And we both are so tired...

"Am I looking neater?"

We kept his tail, however layering them down loads to prevent him from dipping into his poo and pee when he walks. Although he walks with his tail up, but whenever he is afraid, he would be brushing the floor with his tail especially.

Mum layered his ears too cuz he's a tri-colored baby.
He've got a beautiful ears now.

I took the step to trim off his furs from his face.
A big step. I snip off chunks of fur from his face.
And luckily it didn't turn out that bad.

LOL. Was so afraid at the beginning, but I just didn't want him to continue dirtying his mouth and start licking everything from the floor that stained his fur again! So.. SHORT is the new thing on him. I'll make sure he keeps in shape from now onwards. =)

I learnt to trim his nails, pluck his ear's hair and now shave his furs on the paw and pee poo area. I was so so careful cuz the pet shop scarred him the previous time and made him bleed. =( Yea... and Niki was so so depress during the grooming. He was so tired.

Well.. I'm gonna bring him to meet new friends this coming Sat. Hopefully it is windy but doesnt' rain. PLS~~ hehe..... and i hope niki's fur will grow slightly longer by then so that he'll look full and rounder. =D
