Pebbles' 1st Picnic

Niki was invited to attend Pebbles' 1st Picnic on the 11 June 2011, today.
Dardar decided to come with us! <3

At Canopy Garden Dining @ Bishan Park II

We're at the Green Room actually. Tennya, Pebbles' owner, booked a table for 10 and therefore we have a private area for ourselves.

It's a dining place inside the park, where they allow dogs to sit outside on the garden area while relaxing.
It's a good place. =)

They have a very nice furnishing, very cozy and comfortable.
The only negative thing is that it's an outdoor dining, and there were lotsa' trees and especially after the rain in the afternoon, the surroundings was warm even though it was a cold day.

We had our lunch there.
Dar and I shared a serving of Chicken Parmigiana.
(Breaded Chicken Tight topped with tomato basil sauce, Cheedar and Parmesan, served with Fries & Salad)

This is something really special.
It tastes like Chicken Cutlet topped with bolognese sause and coated with Cheese, oven baked. Yummehs!! Love it loads. And we had two Ice Mochas.

And the party started with Paris and Pebbles (this was their second time meeting each other), played together with Niki sitting by the side watching. We concluded that probably Niki wanted to join them, but somehow he's too shy and didn't know how to start off. So we keep him with us, not knowing what to do either.

Niki is a shy boy. He needs warm up.
Moreover this was his first time socializing with other dogs in a proper way.

He keep looking at us for assurance, and keep hiding behind us.
Poor boy. He must've been terrified.

We reach there around 12.30pm and only Paris were there with Pris (her owner). Pebbles and guys are not here yet cuz they last minute changed the meeting time due to the rain. Anyway.. Pebbles reach around 2.30pm and this is when Niki starts hiding because Paris and Pebbles was playing so happily, and Niki was just scared.

FIRST let me introduce:

This is Pebbles!
He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, 8 month old, sterilized.

Meet Paris!
Breed: forgotten.....
But she looks like a fox ! Cute max!

And she's only 5months old, super hyper active!

Yes! And so Niki's day started with rounds of sniffing, grr-ing and running, and oh, he learnt HUMPING!! Urghs. I hope he doesn't do it at home!! tsk tsk tsk* LOL

We didn't really keep track of the time. All the while we've been watching them play, and see how Niki shun away from their playings. But soon, Pebbles took the first step to sniff Niki out, and that's where Niki started learning how to be sociable.

And the mingle session was good, for Niki doesn't bully them nor shown any aggresiveness.

This is Tennya, Pebbles' owner.

Soon enough, three of them are ramping onto each other.
They are all harmless, but when it comes to playing, we'd rather be safe than sorry.

Niki started humping on Pebbles when he caught him, and vice versa.

And although Paris is half the size of them both, she's really strong and tough! She keeps pouncing on Pebbles and making pebbles chase after her. And Niki, will then chase after Pebbles. It's really a funny sight that we couldn't stop laughing!

It was until Alexia came with Beanie and Wang-Wang, Niki stopped all his chasings.

Meet Wang Wang!
Pls forgive me, I can't remember their breeds.

He is 5month old too!

And he is Beanie, 3 years old, big dog!

Well, all of them are so cute! And they all have good furs.
I can understand how parents of these pooch love their kids and take care of them with love.

Pebbles is Niki's First friend! And I guess he is loving his new friend cuz he keep close to him wherever he goes, even when WangWang and Beanie came. Wang Wang and Beanie is a large breed dog, which we are concluding that Niki is very much afraid of. He will "GRRR.......rr....." at them when they walk past or come near. But they're all without harm! Just look at their eyes and you'll know that they are easily friended.

So Alexia, Beanie and WangWang's owner, came with a bag full of goodies for the pooches! BUT! Niki didn't eat anything there. He was too distracted. Alexia was kind enough to pack some for me to bring home and seriously, Niki loves them. But he was too engrossed in playing with Pebbles that he refuse everything, including me. =(

There were cup cakes, meatballs and shepard's pie and it all looks so YUMMEH!!
Pebbles had a great feast! He just can't stop eating!
And Paris, trying hard to save her food from Pebbles!

They're all so cute!

After a few attempts to take a pic of Wang Wang. Tennya finally managed to take one..... LOL

Okay lah, cute right? =)

That is Beanie.
Okay, he look fierce for his size. But he's not.
He'll shun away when I wanna touch him. LOL

That is little Paris looking at the big dogs... But she's not afraid! ^^
But for Niki ........... sigh.

He just hides behind someone he's comfortable with.
He follows Pebbles to wherever he goes.

He's a timid little dog.
And he "grrrrr......." at the big dogs when they walked pass him.
LOL

Lets continue watching Niki being Timid!

All of them were enjoying the food that Alexia bought, and Niki was hiding at some corner looking at them!
AND... he literally follows Pebbles everywhere!

And Tennya was trying out "paw paw" on Pebbles, Niki simply just watch them behind him.

LOL.
I hope Tennya and guys don't feel offended cuz Niki doesn't listens to me at all.

And at one point of time, Niki was crazily chasing after Pebbles and Pebbles was playing with Paris, dar and I couldn't take it anymore and we gotta carry Niki up to stop him for awhile.

You see.... Niki keeps climbing onto Pebbles.
THEY ARE BOTH MALES!!

Until Pebbles was a little fed up?
LOL.. Look at the STARE!

Yes, and we decided to leash Niki up too.
And we thinks that Niki is so afraid that his precious friend would leave........

He PAWed his tail. =.="
LOL. *keke*

And so we moved on to the Dog Run.
It's just a 3 minute walk from Canopy.

As we are all busy chasing and making sure the kids are walking right, none of us took any photos. LOL
The Dog Run, is an enclosed area sitted in the Park itself.

Well well .... they're too hyper.
And Niki was so tired after the whole running thing.
I guess, this is a good workout for him!

And after this whole running thing in the Dog Run, Niki was so so rugged and dirty!

I seriously don't know how he got so wet!
LOL .... maybe he was sweating. I don't know !!
See all his white fur become brown ! omgggg...

Luckily, I did prepare well.
I forseen either he'll be so dirty, OR we've got no place to seat that this towel can be used.
And inside the dog run, there's a tap for washing. We held Niki under the tap and run water through him.
I think he is feels shiok cuz he didn't struggle. keke

He's so tired and he fall asleep through the journey back. He didn't wanna move a bit. He was too lazy to.

He's like a baby.....

Reach home after 5pm.
Niki was too tired, but he waits patiently for his bath.
He fell down during bath cuz he didn't wanna wash his face.
He scream and scream that we were all so scared if he fractured himself.
Poor baby.

I quickly carry him out of the bath and dry him.
He fell asleep fast. He even allowed me to blowdry his neck and head when usually he'll refuse.
He's too tired to resist today.

And blow drying took about 45mins, he slept through the whole process.
For the first time, I blew dry him so well that gives him the fluffy fur.
Spray on the Conditioner and he smells damn nice!

YES - the whole family whom hugged him says he smeslls nice!! <3

And lastly, remember the packed Meatballs, Shepard's Pie and Muffins?
He gobble everything down so fast! LOL.
And I fed him half his usual serving of meat + carrots too.

We hope that there are more of such outings for Niki not to be so shy and timid.
I am considering throwing him to day care once a week to let him mingle with the rest.
Probably that'll help. =)
